The Association for the Promotion of Folk Customs, Antiquities, Stories and Legends of “coprnjaki and coprnice” (warlocks and witches) from Sekirišće has been organizing one-day nature trips for kindergartens and schools for years to introduce children to the old customs and legends of this region. The trip consists of a walk along the entire “witch trail”, tasting indigenous cakes, a magic potion that leads to the enchanted forest, “witch soup” and old-fashioned games such as bow and arrow shooting, broom riding, wicker fence knitting workshop, bow and arrow making and target shooting, horseback riding and a number of other fun activities that include a visit to the Zagorje cellar. The trip ends with lunch and competitive games as well dancing and fun in broad daylight.
