Church of St. Barbara is not located in the center but on a hill about 4 km from the center of Bedekovčina. It is surrounded by greenery and rises above a small square. Within the church, the parish priest Franjo Magdalenić founded the first elementary school.

On the plateau in front of the church, the blessing of motorcycles is traditionally held every year on Divine Mercy Sunday. On that occasion, several hundred motorcyclists and two-wheel enthusiasts are gathered from all over Croatia.
