The Gjalski Castle is located in Gredice Zabočke near Zagreb, at the crossroads of former trade routes and roads – home of one of the famous Croatian writers and politicians, Ksaver Šandor Gjalski (real name Ljubomil Tito Josip Franjo Babić).

Today, it houses the Gjalski Castle Hotel and Restaurant, and its proud owners like to point out that it is a place where culture, heritage and gastronomy as well as all the beauty of the Zagorje region merge and intertwine. The hotel has a wine shop, seminar halls and a large summer terrace with a children’s park in the castle park.
